IPAD INTERNET CONNECTION IS SLOW

LISTEN TO WHAT VERIZON HAD TO SAY:

Carroll  recently had a problem with his IPAD's connection to the internet through Verizon Wireless.     After he upgraded his "prepaid plan" to receive more data his connection slowed down drastically.    He went to both Verizon and Apple to find out what was wrong.    The Verizon store reset the network, but it still had the same problem.  The Apple "Genius"  said the antenna was bad so he needed to replace his out-of-warranty IPAD.    Carroll then called the Verizon help desk.  After being passed around, a technical manager told him "prepaid" plans have access to a lot fewer towers than the long-term contract plans, plus, in the fall, it is too sunny and not enough clouds.  So, he said, that is why Carroll was now having problems.   He urged Carroll to change plans so he would have access to more and better towers.   We kid you not....

Later, after much research, we learned that this is a known problem with the IPAD/Verizon connection and many other people have also experienced it.    Documentation on the Apple Boards is from 2011, so apparently it is not going to be fixed.    Lesson learned - Let the buyer beware.   It is not the Apple Icloud, but clouds in the sky that are causing the problem, and the answers to our problems are also also cloudy.

DO NOT PURCHASE AN IPAD WITH THE VERIZON INTERFACE -  They do not care about you.
